Sand Dune Engagement Photos
My friend Ana contacted me asking if I wanted to be her second for this engagement photo shoot. For these photos, we went out the St. Anthony Sand Dunes. The sand dunes are such a dreamy location and it might actually be one of my favorite places to take photos. Overall this engagement session was so much fun! This was my first time doing an engagement photo shoot and let me tell you it was so much fun. It is amazing to be able to capture the special connection that a couple has. As cheesy as it sounds I just love love and I’m a romantic at heart. That is why I had so much fun taking and editing these photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Here’s a little behind the scenes action for you. There’s no limit to what a photographer will do to get the perfect shot. Needless to say Ana and I were both covered in quite a bit of sand.

Desert Portraits
Lauren is my most dear friend. We met when we were thirteen at a girls camp retreat. We have been friends ever since, and she is absolutely stunning inside and out! She makes taking photos easy. We are both from Las Vegas and decided that it was about time we did a photoshoot at Red Rock. We chose Red Rock because it is iconic and it’s home. Lauren also does photography! Check out her Instagram here.

Portraits in a Ghost Town
Bannack, Montana is one of my favorite places to go take portraits. It is amazing to go and see the buildings because people lived in them until the 1950s. The buildings are gorgeous and have a rich history. All of these photos were taken in Hotel Meade. I highly recommended going and checking out this ghost town for yourself.

Lifestyle Shoot
Seeing how it is January I’m throwing it back to warmer times. By warmer times I’m talking May of 2017. I know, I know I’m behind on posting but better late than never, right?
Anyways, this was a fun photoshoot. Ana and I have been friends for a long time and we both enjoy photography. You can see her work by clicking here. Ana wanted some photos of herself and I thought it would be fun so we went to the Saint Anthony Sand dunes. I had never taken photos there and it was totally on my bucket list so we went out and had this fun photo shoot.
Also, if you don’t know anything about Idaho it is very windy here, but we worked with it.
I need to show off my photoshop skills real quick. The tiny image is the original SOOC (straight out of camera) image. If you noticed I took myself out of Ana’s sunglasses. I got rid of my reflection in all the photos.

Top 10
So the last three months I have been in a professional imaging class (COMM 316) taught by the wonderful Caryn Esplin. I have grown so much as a photographer. This class has allowed me to try all kinds of photography. It has also allowed me to learn about the different types of external lighting and what not in photography. Before taking this class I knew I liked macro photography, but I discovered that I also enjoy product photography as well. I also was not a big fan of portraits, but this class made me change my mind.
Honestly, I love learning new things, and that is the beauty of photography. There is always something new to learn or to try. This is why photography will be a lifelong passion of mine. So I would now like to present my top ten images from the last 3 months.
